ideas that i'll forget if i don't write them down

Transactions and the institutional economics of Bill Cronon's Nature's Metropolis--the process of commodification was really one of changing ideas, attitudes, and behaviors regarding transactions and customs...the causal shift is NOT between man and nature, but rather between the transactions of men as they pertain to 'natural' objects...

The American Dream as an institution--how has it historically been in control, liberation, and expansion of individuals--ie, boosterism, cowboys...

TV pilot episode: names first, but we have to have something about mercantilism (re: 'bullion...BOO YAH!!!')...
