feelin good feelin great, feelin great feelin good, how are you?

Weekend recap:

The weather is still amazing. I got yellow tires for my bike, and it is now oh-so-shway.

Richard Rorty is one of my heroes--I am finishing up Philosophy and the Mirror of Nature, and I just bought Consequences of Pragmatism. Gonna read them all.

The Saints suck at football, but I always liked collegiate sports better anyway. ON WISCONSIN!

Blatchley came over for grillin' last night, and my mom sent him home with a lot of take-home. Such a goofball. I went out with his 1L friends on Saturday, and it was good fun; Susan Lee and Pete Dee were my favorites.

Listened to Antics and Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain all weekend.

I watched Bill Maher on Friday night over at the Allweisses, and personally, I think Andrew Sullivan is one confused human being. Whereas I agree that I should no longer mock the religious right, I still demand good reasons and justifications for the positions they maintain. And I don't want to hear any bullshit about how the country is 'too divided' anymore. The end of an election-period does not mean, a priori, that the "losing" side has to dissolve their positions; war is not legitimated because a President is elected. Overturning Roe v. Wade is not entailed in an election campaign, nor is turning Social Security over to the "free market," nor is privatizing healthcare, nor lowering taxes. All we did was elect a president.

Aight. Tata for now...
